Ripple's Global Payment Network Expands with New Partnership
As part of its ongoing efforts to expand the reach and efficiency of cross-border transactions, Ripple has announced a new partnership with TrustLinq, a leading provider of cryptocurrency payment infrastructure. The integration of TrustLinq's cross-border payment network into Ripple Payments marks a significant step forward in the development of seamless global payments.
According to TrustLinq, one of the biggest challenges facing the crypto ecosystem is the complexity of conversion processes from cryptocurrencies to fiat currencies. This can involve multiple intermediaries, including exchanges, custodial accounts, off-ramp providers, sending banks, and correspondent banking checks. TrustLinq was developed to eliminate this chain, allowing users to make direct payments without the need for intermediaries.
The integration with Ripple Payments will enable TrustLinq to provide direct crypto-to-fiat transfers in payment corridors where traditional banking systems struggle to provide service. This will preserve the existing user experience, allowing users to continue making payments directly from their self-custodial stablecoin wallets.
