Pi Network's PI Token Volatility Ahead of Protocol 23 Upgrade
The Pi Network's PI token has been experiencing increased volatility in recent days as the community awaits the upcoming Protocol 23 upgrade.
The upgrade promises to introduce significant changes to the network, including the addition of smart contracts, real-world asset tokenization, and AI App Studio out of beta. These new features have the potential to increase the token's utility and appeal to a wider range of users.
However, analysts are cautious about the token's short-term prospects, warning that a break below the lower Bollinger Band at $0.1621 could accelerate the decline towards the February low at $0.1380. This would be a significant drop for the token, which has already fallen from its March high near $0.3050.
The daily chart shows a clean descending channel from the March 21 high near $0.2050, with the upper boundary sloping down towards $0.1700 and the lower boundary near $0.1630. The price is currently sitting near the lower boundary at $0.1645, with all four EMAs stacked above.
