Four firms have been selected to participate: Revolut, Monee, ReStabilise, and VVTX. Each represents different aspects of the stablecoin ecosystem and will test various use cases including retail payments, cross-border transactions, and institutional settlements.
The sandbox's design reflects concerns raised by consumer advocacy groups, incorporating multiple safeguards for consumer protection. Participants must maintain adequate financial reserves to support their stablecoins and implement robust anti-money laundering controls.
