Crypto Industry Hit with Record-Breaking Hack Losses in April

The crypto industry has seen a sharp increase in hacking incidents in April, resulting in over $629.7 million stolen since the start of the month.

This figure marks one of the worst months for hacks in over a year, with the majority of losses coming from DeFi sector hacks.

Two of the largest incidents include the KelpDAO hack, which saw around $293 million lost, and the Drift Protocol exploit, which resulted in a loss of $280 million.
