Treasury Deploys Cyber Threat Intelligence Sharing Initiative for Cryptocurrency Sector
The US Treasury Department's Office of Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Protection has introduced a new initiative to bolster cybersecurity efforts among digital asset companies. The program offers free access to cyber threat intelligence that the department already provides to traditional financial institutions, with the goal of enhancing prevention and response capabilities.
Cory Wilson, the Treasury Department's deputy assistant secretary for cybersecurity, stated that this initiative aims to provide actionable threat information to firms in order to reduce risk and respond more effectively to incidents. The program is part of efforts to integrate cryptocurrency entities into the US's core financial infrastructure.
