According to Simon Dedic, a crypto analyst, half of the industry's most influential people attended a recent gala dinner hosted by Trump, where they were treated to the Official Trump meme coin. This close association is seen as a major roadblock to the passage of the CLARITY Act, as Democrats are using it as an excuse to demand ethics clauses before voting in favor of the bill.
The banking industry is also playing a significant role in the legislative process, with some analysts predicting that the bill will be finalized in May and signed into law by Trump in June. However, others believe that the odds of passage this year are uncertain, with some putting the chances at 50% or lower.
