The ad appeared on 4/20, a holiday celebrated by cannabis enthusiasts worldwide. Initially, Hart thought the product sounded like a prank, but his curiosity got the better of him.

He began investigating Gudtrip's website and social media accounts, which promised to combine 'premium cannabis, blockchain rewards, and AI-powered asset tools' in one device.

The company behind Gudtrip is Puffpaw, which also claims to be the maker of a 'gamified smart vape' for nicotine. This device aims to incentivize users to quit nicotine through an unclear mechanism.
