Crypto exchange Coinone has made a significant move in the South Korean cryptocurrency market by announcing the delisting of Stella (ALPHA) token. The exchange cited its regular digital asset review process as the reason for the decision, which is a standard practice among major exchanges to ensure market integrity and protect investors.
The delisting will take effect on March 30, 2025, at 06:00 UTC. Before this deadline, users must sell or trade their ALPHA tokens if they wish to do so, as trading for all ALPHA pairs will cease permanently. The withdrawal functionality for the token will remain available until June 28, 2025, providing a three-month grace period for users to extract their assets from the exchange.
The decision follows a trend where exchanges prioritize assets with clear use cases, robust communities, and sustainable models. This curation aims to build user trust and align with global compliance frameworks. The delisting may also reflect Coinone's strategic alignment with evolving national and international regulatory expectations.
