Thane Man Booked for Alleged Crypto Scam Targeting Seven Investors

A case of alleged cryptocurrency investment fraud has been registered by the Kasarwadavali police in Thane city. According to the complaint filed on May 25, a group of seven investors was cheated out of Rs 1.61 crore by a man who promised them high returns through cryptocurrency investments.

The accused allegedly instructed the investors to deposit money into a specific bank account belonging to a woman. Her husband reportedly worked in the accused’s office.

The police are now examining the complaint and the money trail to determine how the funds were collected and whether more people or accounts were involved.
