Upbit, a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, has announced that it will temporarily halt deposits and withdrawals for Hippo Protocol (HP) starting on July 6 at 3:00 a.m. UTC.
The suspension is to support a scheduled network upgrade for the HP blockchain, which aims to improve performance and security for the decentralized data storage protocol.
During the maintenance period, HP trading pairs on Upbit will remain active, allowing users to continue buying and selling the token on the spot market.
HP holders who need to move their tokens before the halt are advised to do so well in advance of the July 6 deadline.
