Morgan Stanley Seeks Regulatory Approval for Crypto Custody Services

Morgan Stanley has filed an application for a de novo national trust bank charter with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to expand its digital asset custody capabilities.

The move comes as multiple major financial institutions are racing to build regulated crypto custody infrastructure ahead of expected market structure legislation.
