BlackRock Expands Cryptocurrency Presence with Tokenized Money-Market Funds
Global asset manager BlackRock has taken a significant step into the world of cryptocurrency by filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to launch two tokenized money-market funds on the Ethereum network.
The funds, which are worth billions of dollars, will allow investors who hold their cash in stablecoins to access more traditional investment options without having to use a brokerage service. This move is seen as a major development for the cryptocurrency market and could have significant implications for the adoption of stablecoins.
