Strive Inc. Expands Bitcoin Holdings with Significant Purchase
Strive Inc. has continued its aggressive expansion into the cryptocurrency market by acquiring a substantial amount of bitcoin at a lower average price than its previous purchase. According to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Strive purchased 2,500 BTC for approximately $185.2 million, averaging $74,092 per coin. This acquisition brings the company's total holdings to 19,000 BTC, solidifying its position among the top corporate holders of digital currency.
It is worth noting that this purchase occurred in a market downturn, with bitcoin prices dropping from above $74,000 last week to around $70,800 on Tuesday morning, according to CoinDesk data. Despite this, Strive's yield remains high, with a quarter-to-date yield of 23.0% and year-to-date yield of 36.7%, accompanied by an amplification ratio of 57.0%.
The company has also reported increasing its cash reserves to maintain an 18-month dividend reserve.
This development comes on the heels of Strategy, the largest corporate bitcoin holder, disclosing a sale of 32 BTC for $2.5 million at an average price of $77,135, leading to a sell-off in the broader crypto market.
