Trump's Crypto Windfall: $1.4 Billion Income in 2025
US President Donald Trump's financial disclosure has revealed that he earned over $1.4 billion (₹13,330 crore) from cryptocurrency ventures in 2025, making digital assets his biggest source of income during his second term in office.
The filing showed that Trump's crypto-related businesses generated more than $635 million (₹6,045 crore) through royalties linked to the licensing agreement for his official meme coin, TRUMP, which debuted on the Solana blockchain days before he returned to the White House in January 2025.
World Liberty Financial, the Trump family crypto venture, accounted for another major share of his digital asset income, with companies linked to Trump receiving nearly $800 million (₹7,616 crore) from the venture.
The disclosure has raised ethics questions and criticism from Democratic lawmakers and experts, who argue that Trump's administration's crypto-friendly policies could benefit businesses linked to him and his family.
