Coinbase has launched 'Coinbase for Agents', a platform that allows AI-powered agents to perform financial tasks on behalf of users. The system is designed to operate within user-defined guardrails, ensuring accountability and balance between automation and human oversight.

The AI agents can monitor cryptocurrency markets continuously, execute trades automatically, manage portfolio allocations, rebalance holdings, analyze market conditions, respond to predefined events, track risk exposure, and implement investment strategies. This functionality aligns with the unique nature of cryptocurrency markets, which operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
