Vance's Bitcoin Holdings Double as He Continues to Advocate for Crypto
US Vice President JD Vance has disclosed owning between $250,000 and $500,000 in Bitcoin according to his 2025 annual financial disclosure report. This marks a significant increase from last year's reported range of $100K-$250K, indicating that his Bitcoin holdings have roughly doubled.
Vance's cryptocurrency exposure is solely on Coinbase, with no mention of other exchanges or wallets. He addressed his investments publicly at the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas on May 28, where he described owning 'a fair amount of Bitcoin.'
The vice president has taken a pro-crypto stance, advocating for market structure legislation and criticizing overregulation of the industry. His personal holdings create a potential conflict-of-interest situation, as his financial stake in Bitcoin may be influenced by his policy positions.
