Gen.G Esports Shakes Up Roster Ahead of VCT Pacific Stage 2
Gen.G Esports has announced roster changes ahead of VCT Pacific Stage 2. Kim Nak-yeon, also known as Efina, is returning to the active roster after stepping away from competition for three years. He will replace ZynX, who is dealing with a wrist injury.
Efina played professionally from 2020 to 2021 before taking an extended break. His total career prize winnings amount to approximately $15,659. As part of the same roster changes, Gen.G has promoted RaxcaL from its academy team to take Lakia's place on the active roster.
Gen.G has been collaborating with Theta Labs since June 3, 2025, on a partnership that combines blockchain technology with fan engagement. This collaboration involves developing an AI mascot and web3 tools designed to enhance fan interaction with the organization. Notably, there is no direct link between the roster changes and any token activity related to the Theta partnership.
