Bitcoin Institutional Holdings Surpass $261 Billion, Expected to Grow

The institutional ownership of cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin, has seen a significant surge in recent years. According to On-Chain Mind, corporations, asset managers, and financial institutions now hold approximately 3.24 million BTC valued at around $261.2 billion.

This substantial accumulation by institutional investors marks a shift from viewing Bitcoin as a speculative asset to recognizing it as a reliable store of value and strategic financial asset. The data also reveals that the majority of these holdings are in the form of Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), corporate firms, and sovereign funds.
