SecondFi Suffers Cardano Blockchain Security Breach
SecondFi, a project on the Cardano (ADA) blockchain, has been hit by a significant security breach. The incident occurred due to a flaw in its wallet generation software, which allowed attackers to access funds across multiple user wallets.
The damage estimates range from 16 million ADA to over 129 million ADA and additional tokens across compromised wallets.
SlowMist's founder, Yu Xian, has placed total losses above $20 million. Cardano's base protocol was not the entry point for the attack.
The SecondFi team is working with an independent blockchain security firm on a technical review to determine the final figure of losses.
