Strike Secures Key Licenses to Expand Operations in New York
Strike, a leading Bitcoin payments company, has successfully secured the required licenses to operate in New York. With the approval of the BitLicense and Money Transmitter License from the New York State Department of Financial Services, Strike can now offer its complete product suite to residents and businesses in the state.
The BitLicense is one of the most demanding crypto licenses in the U.S., requiring companies to maintain significant capital reserves, undergo regular cybersecurity reviews, and comply with strict auditing requirements. Strike's parent company, Zap Solutions, Inc., was granted both licenses in February 2026, marking a major achievement for the company.
The licenses enable Strike to provide users with a range of services, including buying and selling Bitcoin using linked bank accounts, debit cards, or wire transfers. Additionally, workers can convert up to 100% of their direct deposits into BTC without any conversion fees on the first $20,000 per month. The company also offers automated tools, such as price-triggered orders and recurring buys, which come with waived fees after the first week for personal accounts.
