Venus DeFi Exploit Sparks Ongoing Security Concerns

A recent attack on the Venus DeFi protocol has left the cryptocurrency community on high alert as an attacker transferred 1,743 ETH valued at approximately $3.78 million to a new address.

The receiving address, 0x7a79969a0B9D51D922C4810D2950560360F6f234, has been accumulating ETH from Tornado Cash over the past 10 months and now holds a total of 7,450 ETH worth around $16.11 million.

This move is seen as a significant development in the ongoing saga of security concerns within decentralized lending protocols like Venus, which has experienced repeated attacks since 2021 resulting in cumulative losses exceeding $260 million.
