Robinhood Enters Tokenized Stocks Market with Ethereum Layer 2 Platform
The U.S. equity market has been one of the greatest wealth engines in history, according to BlackRock CEO Larry Fink.
However, Fink predicted that tokenization could reshape investing by eliminating the need for markets to close and allowing transactions to clear in seconds.
This vision became a reality with the emergence of synthetic markets, followed by products such as xStocks, which brought tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs into crypto markets.
Now, Robinhood is adding a retail layer to this market through its Ethereum Layer 2, Robinhood Chain, allowing users to access tokenized real-world assets in the always-on market structure.
The question of where to buy, trade, or earn from these tokenized stocks has become increasingly important.
On Robinhood Chain, users may come across Lighter and Arcus, two platforms offering low-latency trading, leverage, and other features.
