Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin's Ongoing Sales Reach $15.51 Million
The transactions were conducted via the decentralized exchange protocol CoW Protocol and involved multiple assets. Vitalik Buterin's wallet activity indicates that some of the ETH was first converted to Wrapped Ethereum (WETH) before being swapped for GHO, a collateralized stablecoin issued by the Aave ecosystem.
A transfer of approximately 3,500 WETH worth around $6.9 million has also been linked to assets withdrawn from an aEthWETH position on Aave V3 and transferred to Buterin's wallet. The exact nature of this transaction is unclear, as it may be related to position management rather than a direct sale.
On-chain records show that the transactions were made through a Gnosis Safe Proxy wallet belonging to Buterin, highlighting his ongoing use of various decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and assets.
