Cryptocurrency Hacks Reach Record High in April
A recent surge in cryptocurrency hacks has reached a record high in April 2026, with 29 incidents reported, an 81% increase from the previous high.
The majority of these hacks were attributed to the Lazarus Group, a North Korean state-sponsored hacking team, which targeted DeFi platforms on Solana and Ethereum.
These security breaches have led to increased market fear, impacting Bitcoin's price prospects. However, market pricing suggests that confidence in Bitcoin maintaining above $68,000 on May 1 remains strong.
