Visa Expands Stablecoin Settlement Pilot to Nine Blockchain Networks

Visa has announced a significant expansion to its stablecoin settlement pilot program, adding five new blockchain networks to bring the total to nine.

The expanded network includes Coinbase's Base, Polygon, Canton Network, Circle's Arc, and Stripe-backed Tempo, joining existing integrations with Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, and Stellar.

The system processes $7 billion in annualized volume, with stablecoin-linked card settlement active in over 50 countries. This marks one of the most ambitious cross-chain payment initiatives by Visa to date.
