Ripple's CLARITY Truck Hits Washington as Senate Weighs Crypto Rules
Ripple's campaign to promote clearer digital asset rules in the US continued on June 25 as it rolled out its branded CLARITY truck through Washington, D.C. The truck was part of a push by the company and other industry leaders to support the CLARITY Act, which aims to establish clear rules for digital assets.
The bill, which has been advanced by the Senate Banking Committee in a bipartisan 15-9 vote, still needs 60 Senate votes to pass. Supporters argue that it will provide oversight, registration paths, and consumer protections for digital asset markets.
Ripple's global co-head of public policy and government, Lauren Belive, promoted the effort on X (formerly Twitter), saying 'On the road to clarity, literally!' The company separately stated: 'Ripple is on the road to clarity! Our Clarity truck is on the move in D.C. as Congress continues work on transparent rules of the road for digital assets.'
More than 200 organizations, including major players like Coinbase and Binance.US, have urged Senate leaders to bring the bill to the floor for a vote.
