Zapper DeFi Tracker Shutdown Adds to Crypto Sector Woes
DeFi portfolio tracker Zapper is shutting down on August 3 after nearly seven years in operation, according to its CEO and co-founder Seb Audet.
The platform, which allows users to track holdings across wallets and chains from a single dashboard, served over 2 million monthly active users at its peak and processed more than $13 billion in transactions, according to company figures.
Audet announced the closure on July 8, stating that an orderly wind down is the best course of action, but declined to provide specific reasons for the decision.
Zapper's exit adds to a growing list of established DeFi platforms shutting down this year, including Radiant Capital and Ctrl Wallet.
