Warren Demands Crypto Rules as Trumps' Billion-Dollar Earnings Raise Red Flags
Senator Elizabeth Warren is pushing for stricter regulations on cryptocurrency after President Donald Trump's family reported over $1.4 billion in crypto-related income in their latest financial disclosures.
The disclosure, released by the US Office of Government Ethics, showed that more than half a billion dollars came from token sales linked to World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency venture co-founded by Trump and his sons.
Warren is calling for stronger safeguards in the pending CLARITY Act, which aims to regulate digital assets. She argues that the legislation should prevent sitting presidents and their families from earning money through cryptocurrency businesses while holding public office.
