Cardano's Van Rossem Hard Fork Activated: ADA Price Remains Flat

Cardano's Van Rossem hard fork was activated on Saturday, upgrading the network to Protocol Version 11.

This marks the first time a Cardano upgrade has been approved entirely through onchain governance.

The new Plutus improvements aim to lower smart contract execution costs and lay the foundation for future upgrades, including the introduction of Ouroboros Leios in late 2026.

Despite the significant update, ADA's price remains stagnant at $0.165, below its 50, 100, and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages.
