Solana Foundation Bolsters Ecosystem Security with STRIDE and SIRN Initiatives

The Solana Foundation has taken a significant step towards enhancing the security of its ecosystem by launching the STRIDE security program and the Solana Incident Response Network (SIRN). The STRIDE program provides free threat monitoring to DeFi protocols with over $10 million in TVL, while formal verification is available for protocols with over $100 million TVL. This initiative aims to provide an additional layer of protection for high-value protocols.

The STRIDE program evaluates protocols against eight security pillars and publishes the findings publicly, promoting transparency and accountability within the ecosystem. The monitoring coverage scales with risk, with more rigorous protection provided to protocols securing the most value.

SIRN is a coalition of security firms that share threat intelligence and coordinate responses to active incidents around the clock. While response priority is tiered by TVL, any Solana protocol can access SIRN for support in times of need.
