$13 Million Hack Forces Grinex Crypto Exchange to Suspend Operations
Grinex, a cryptocurrency exchange with ties to Russia, has temporarily ceased operations following a cyberattack that resulted in the theft of around $13.10 million. The exchange, previously sanctioned by several countries over allegations of enabling sanctions evasion, confirmed the breach and reported that multiple wallets were compromised.
The attack is believed to have targeted 54 addresses, showcasing high technical sophistication. Digital forensic analysis suggests that foreign intelligence agencies may be involved in the incident. Grinex has notified relevant authorities and initiated criminal proceedings.
