Vitalik Buterin Unveils Ambitious Roadmap for 'Lean Ethereum'
Vitalik Buterin, co-creator of Ethereum, has shared his roadmap for a 'Lean Ethereum', a multi-year strategy aimed at optimizing the network to be highly scalable, cheaper, secure, and decentralized.
The plan targets a massive reduction in transaction expenses, aiming to make gas fees up to 10 times cheaper, which would drastically lower costs for users. Additionally, it focuses on upgrading to quantum-resistant cryptography to protect the network from next-generation supercomputer threats.
Other key upgrades include enhancing network efficiency so that even lower-powered devices can easily run nodes, vastly boosting decentralization. The roadmap also prioritizes Zero-Knowledge (ZK) technology to improve both network privacy and scalability.
