Uniswap Users Cautioned Over Fake Google Ads Scam
A sophisticated scam has been making the rounds, targeting Uniswap users through fake Google ads. The attackers create cloned websites that closely resemble the real platform, complete with identical interfaces and even trusted-looking services like Google Sites hosting them.
These fake sites then request transaction approval from unsuspecting users, quietly giving attackers permission to access their funds once they've been connected to a wallet. Since blockchain transactions cannot be reversed, victims are left with little recourse but to absorb the losses.
