Chainalysis Uncovers $100 Million Drone Procurement Network Linked to Russian Entities

A large-scale drone procurement network linked to Russian entities has been uncovered by a recent blockchain analysis conducted by Chainalysis.

The investigation, which valued the network at approximately $100 million, reveals that actors connected to Moscow have been using cryptocurrency to acquire unmanned aerial vehicles from Chinese manufacturers. The equipment allegedly intended for deployment in Ukraine.

According to researchers, digital asset transactions can expose supply chains that would otherwise remain concealed. By leveraging transparent and immutable transaction records, investigators are increasingly able to monitor activities that were previously difficult to detect.
