Igra Network Unveils Public Mainnet on Kaspa's Proof-of-Work BlockDAG
Igra Network has made a significant milestone in the blockchain industry by launching its public mainnet as a decentralized EVM layer on Kaspa's proof-of-work BlockDAG. This achievement marks the culmination of six months of testing with zero state divergence, during which the network processed over 730,000 transactions across 21 million blocks.
The Igra Network is built to close the gap in the Kaspa ecosystem, which has been hindered by a lack of decentralized and programmable smart contract infrastructure. With its proof-of-work security and full EVM compatibility, the network offers a shared execution environment for the existing user base and global developer community.
The mainnet launch features 15 protocols deploying at launch, including DeFi, infrastructure, wallets, and stablecoins. The network also provides cross-chain connectivity through Hyperlane, enabling seamless interactions between different blockchain networks.
