Crypto.com Co-Founder Rafael Melo Brings Aerospace Finance Expertise to Crypto Industry

Rafael Melo is a Brazilian finance executive and co-founder of Crypto.com, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges. He has over 15 years of experience in finance, risk management, and compliance.

Melo began his career at Embraer, an aerospace manufacturer, where he held various roles from 1999 to 2010. He later worked at Mobile Payment Solutions, a MasterCard-incubated company, before joining Ensogo, a Singapore-based e-commerce company, in 2014.

In 2016, Melo co-founded Crypto.com alongside Kris Marszalek, Bobby Bao, and Gary Or, serving as the exchange's Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, he has played a key role in securing regulatory approvals for the exchange, including licenses from the UK's Financial Conduct Authority and Malta's financial authorities.
