Solana Price Plummets to 52-Week Low Amidst Market Rout
Solana's price has plummeted to a 52-week low of $66.6, marking a significant decline in the past month and year. The token's value has fallen by over 27% in the past month and nearly 74% from its 2025 high, making it one of the worst-performing cryptocurrencies in recent times.
The decline is attributed to a wave of liquidations and risk-off sentiment in the crypto market. According to CoinGlass data, over $1.66 billion was liquidated from the crypto derivatives market in the past 24 hours, with long positions accounting for $1.42 billion. This has forced bullish traders to close positions at market prices, adding fresh downside pressure across major altcoins.
The technical structure of Solana's price remains bearish, with the token trading below its Supertrend indicator and major moving averages. The weekly MACD remains below the zero line, while momentum gauges offer little relief. Analysts suggest that Solana may not have reached its final low, with some predicting a retest of $67-$58 before reversing.
