Tether Freezes $344 Million in USDT After US Law Enforcement Requests

Tether, a leading stablecoin issuer, has taken swift action in response to requests from US law enforcement authorities. On April 23, the company froze more than $344 million in USDT on the Tron blockchain.

The freeze was implemented using administrative keys embedded in the USDT smart contract, effectively restricting token transfers from two large wallets. This move immobilized over $344 million in stablecoins on the network.
