Ripple's chief technology officer, Brad Garlinghouse, has highlighted the key advantages of the XRP Ledger (XRPL) in a recent post on social media platform X.

The XRPL was designed by architects who were early contributors to Bitcoin, aiming to solve inefficiencies in the global payment industry. One of the main benefits is its ability to process transactions quickly and efficiently, with settlements taking only 3-5 seconds.

The cost of these transactions is also remarkably low, typically ranging from pennies to fractions of a cent. The ledger has completed an impressive 4 billion transactions to date, demonstrating its robustness and scalability.
