Zondacrypto Crisis Deepens Amid CEO's Fleeing and Missing Funds
A troubled cryptocurrency exchange in Poland has found itself at the center of a growing scandal, with a formal investigation underway and a potential impact on investor protection across Europe.
Zondacrypto's operations have been marred by a lack of transparency, and its CEO, Przemysław Kral, has fled to Israel amid allegations of 4.5K BTC going missing, valued at over $340 million at current prices.
The exchange is registered in Estonia under the BB Trade Estonia OÜ entity, but its founder, Sylwester Suszek, has been missing since 2022, leading to a loss of access to a cold wallet holding part of the exchange's reserve.
