Solana-Backed PAC Injects $8M into Ohio's Senate Race

A Solana-backed political action committee (PAC) has made a significant investment in Ohio's Senate race, committing $8 million to support Republican Jon Husted. The Sentinel Action Fund, which is backed by the Solana Policy Institute and Multicoin Capital, among others, aims to unseat former senator Sherrod Brown.

The campaign alleges that Brown, a known crypto skeptic and former chair of the Senate Banking Committee, has obstructed pro-digital asset policies during his tenure. The Ohio Senate race is seen as crucial in determining control of the upper chamber, with recent polling indicating a tight contest after earlier Republican leads.
