Coinbase Expands in UK with Equities and Derivatives Offering

Coinbase has obtained an investment services authorization in the UK, allowing it to soon offer equities and derivatives.

This marks a significant expansion of Coinbase's product suite in the country, where approximately 7 million adults are estimated to own cryptocurrencies.

The FCA noted that 26% of those who do not currently hold cryptocurrencies would consider participating in regulated markets if they had access to cryptocurrency trading.
