Ethereum Foundation Deploys Funds into DeFi Protocol Morpho
The Ethereum Foundation has taken another step towards diversifying its investments by deploying 3,400 ETH into Morpho, a decentralized lending protocol. This move aligns with the foundation's treasury strategy, which aims to generate yield in decentralized finance.
Morpho Vaults V2, where the funds were deposited, was chosen for its alignment with the Ethereum Foundation's defipunk framework. The protocol has adopted the GNU General Public License (GPL) 2.0, making its code permanently auditable and forkable.
The foundation's decision to deploy funds into Morpho comes as the Ethereum price tests the $2,110 support level amid fading bullish momentum. A decline below this level could see ETH fall to $1,740 if the short-term base around $1,900 fails to hold.
