Hyperliquid Surges Past Solana in Fully Diluted Valuation

Hyperliquid, a derivatives-centric decentralized exchange built on its own layer-1 blockchain, has made significant strides in the crypto market. According to DeFiLlama, the protocol's fully diluted valuation has climbed to approximately $49.7B, surpassing Solana's FDV.

The platform's native token, HYPE, has seen a notable price appreciation of over 10x since its launch in Q1 2025. Currently trading between $54 and $55, the token carries a market cap of around $12.3B and generates approximately $1.07B in 24-hour trading volume.

Hyperliquid's technical architecture supports its growth, with high throughput and sub-second finality making it competitive with major centralized exchanges like Binance and Bybit. However, concerns about the protocol's governance structure and validator set remain, as well as a large overhang of unlocked tokens that may create selling pressure in the future.
