With Independence Day approaching in 2026, financial markets are bracing for a modified trading schedule. The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq will observe a full closure on Friday, July 3, marking a day earlier than usual due to the federal holiday.

The bond trading sector will experience an even earlier shutdown, with fixed income markets halting all activity at 2 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, July 2.

Cryptocurrency exchanges, however, continue 24/7 operations throughout the holiday period, unaffected by traditional financial market schedules.
