Bitcoin ETF Outflows Hit Record $7.7B as Altcoins Defy Trend
The US spot Bitcoin ETFs have been experiencing record outflows for seven consecutive weeks. This has resulted in total outflows of $7.7 billion, with the largest weekly loss being $1.79 billion during the week of June 22-26.
Since mid-May, the pressure on Bitcoin ETFs has intensified, with losses mounting each week. The first week saw $1 billion in losses, followed by $1.26 billion and $1.42 billion in subsequent weeks.
In June, outflows continued to rise, reaching a high of $1.79 billion during the final week. Despite this, total net inflows since launch remain positive at $51.61 billion, but total net assets have fallen to $72.82 billion, down from $107.8 billion in mid-May.
Notably, altcoin ETFs such as XRP have bucked the trend, posting eight consecutive weeks of inflows and attracting $22.99 million during June 22-26.
