Cardano's Van Rossem hard fork was successfully enacted on July 18 in epoch 644, marking an important milestone for the blockchain. The scheduled epoch boundary was set at 21:44:51 UTC, and GovTool and Koios data showed that protocol version 11.0 had been activated. This update includes changes to Plutus smart contracts, ledgers, and nodes.

The timing of the hard fork was carefully coordinated by Intersect, Cardano's member-based ecosystem organization responsible for overseeing upgrades. According to GovTool and Koios data, the first checked block in epoch 644 was recorded at 21:53:13 UTC, with 13 consecutive blocks showing protocol version 11.0.

No token migration is required as a result of this hard fork, according to Intersect's upgrade FAQ. Users are advised to keep their wallets and tools up-to-date to ensure seamless interactions with the network.
