Uniswap Unveils AI-Enabled DeFi Capabilities with Seven Core Skills

Decentralized exchange leader Uniswap has taken a key step forward by modularizing its DeFi capabilities into 'skills' that can be called by AI agents. This development marks a significant shift towards treating AI as a first-class user in the DeFi ecosystem.

The launch of seven core functions, known as skills, provides structured interfaces for developers and AI agents to access the core functions of the protocol. These skills include swap, quote, router, liquidity, positions, pools, and transactions, enabling AI to execute trades, provide liquidity, and manage positions on-chain without having to parse complex smart contract logic.

The official team has open-sourced relevant tools as a foundational infrastructure for building on-chain agent workflows, significantly lowering the development and integration barriers. This move is expected to accelerate the formation of the 'DeFAI' ecosystem, where AI agents play a central role in DeFi operations.
