Crypto Mogul's Lawsuit Against Trump-Linked Project Sparks Controversy
Justin Sun, one of the most prominent figures in the crypto world, has taken action against a company he claims swindled him out of millions. The billionaire's decision to file a federal lawsuit against World Liberty is the latest development in a complex saga involving the intersection of politics and cryptocurrency.
In 2023, Sun was facing allegations of fraud from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) related to his own crypto projects. However, just as things were looking bleak for him, he found himself involved with World Liberty, which allowed him to gain momentum despite the challenges he faced elsewhere in the industry.
But according to the lawsuit filed by Sun, things took a turn when World Liberty asked him to buy $200 million worth of their stablecoin and promote it on his Tron network. When he refused, his tokens were allegedly frozen, preventing him from selling them, and he was stripped of his voting rights in the project.
