Alex Lab Hacked Again, Affecting SPD Bank Customers

Alex Lab, a Bitcoin-based decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol, has been hit by another security breach after earlier this year promising to reimburse users following an $8.3 million exploit.

The latest hack appears to have affected customers of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank (SPD Bank), with ChainCatcher reporting that customers were among those impacted.

This incident follows a trend where North Korean-linked groups, including Lazarus, have been linked to earlier Alex Lab-related operations targeting both banks and DeFi projects.
